Spring Term 2

This half term our theme will be Minibeasts

We will be:

- Hunting for bugs! We will use our own outdoor area, the field and the woods - weather permitting!

- Looking at the life cycles of frogs and butterflies.

- Investigating the differences between different kinds of insects in our 'Bug Lab', counting legs and wings, finding out where they live and how they move.

- Making homes for different kinds of insects.

- Making bugs with salt dough.

We will also be sharing the following 'Books of the Week':

- Mad About Minibeasts

- The Hungry Caterpillar

- Snail Trail

- Superworm

- First Facts - Bugs, and other information texts

During the half term we will also be:

- Making patterns and exploring simple symmetry with caterpillars and butterflies

- Listening for rhymes and words that begin with the same sounds

Monday 15th April - Return to preschool
Tuesday 23rd April - Halletts Photography in preschool
Thursday 2nd May - Preschool Closed due to polling day

Save the Dates!
- Wednesday 10th July - Trip to Marwell Zoo for children and parents
- Monday 22nd July - Leavers Tea Party for our older children and parents

Summer Term 2024
Monday 15th April - Friday 19th July
(On Monday 22nd July we will have our leavers celebration for our older children going to school in September)
Half Term: Monday 27th May - Friday 31st May

Please note - preschool finishes earlier than schools for the Summer holidays.
The Hall may be used for Polling during the year which will mean we will not be able to open on this day - we will give parents as much notice as possible for this.
